The focus of this course is to provide mental health professionals with the assessment and intervention tools that they need to quickly recognize and act on potential life-threatening situations in regard to suicidality. As a refresher course, we provide vital information for mental health professionals to not only be knowledgeable about suicidal ideation warning signs but also the risk and protective factors that come into play for all types of clients. The main goal of this course is to help equip mental health professionals with a better understanding on how to approach suicide and suicidal ideation in their clinical work.
