Sex Therapy: An Introduction Course Syllabus

Course Description:

The focus of this course is to provide mental health professionals with a basic understanding of sex therapy when working with individual and couples clients. As an introductory course, the course provides learners with information about the legal and ethical applications of sex therapy, how to recognize out-of-control sexual behavior, evidence-based models of sex therapy, and practical clinical interventions for engaging clients in discussions around sex and sexuality. The main goal of this course is to help equip mental health professionals with a better understanding of how to work with clients in regard to sex, intimacy, and addictive behaviors effectively within their clinical work.
