Course Description:
The focus of this course is to help mental health professionals integrate research-backed trauma-informed care principles into their direct care with clients. The course provides insight into trauma-informed care, common symptoms of trauma, and research trends regarding client needs and expectations for effective care. The course will also help professionals utilize an evidence-based assessment to screen for trauma, as well as evidence-based tools to personalize their clinical work to adapt to client needs and implement best practice strategies for recognizing their own limitations.
